holes and souls was a simple identity project for a new twist on the body modification industry in austin, texas.

based in austin, their goal is to blend body piercing with astrology and other esoterica in a studio where customers could find out more about who they are and adorn their bodies accordingly.

after helping them name their new business, ideografix created a logo utilizing the astrological symbols for male and female and a captive bead (like found in piercing jewelry). we added a feeling of spiritual awakening utilizing religious icon-like halos with colors similar to the orange of local university of texas.

the slogan, MODIFICATUS ESOTERICUS GALORUM, lends a timeless and magical edge as well as a fun feeling since the first two words are not really latin.
